ABOUT
Dr. Danielle Camer is an Australian Senior Medical Writer, Creative Director and award-winning children's picture book author. With qualifications in Creative Arts, Medical Science, and Neuroscience, Danielle transitioned from medical research and university teaching to start a freelance medical writing business in 2019, driven by the desire for more time with her daughter.

Inspired by Sophie, she authored her first picture book, “Sophie Won’t Sleep”, which has achieved global success and won 10 international awards. Danielle’s second book, “Squirrel Takes the Cake”, was published in 2024, and she has contracts for more, including a book co-written with Sophie, “That Doesn’t Go!” Despite facing the loss of her husband in 2023, Danielle continues to thrive in her career, driven by her determination to live fully for her daughter and honour her late husband's memory.
